Dining out at Kareem’s with family

On a Monday evening, we went for a family dinner at Kareem’s. It’s been breakfast meetings for me in recent times. Whenever we go out as a family, it’s mainly to Chinese restaurants or those that serve decent continental cuisines. We took a deviation and explored Indian dishes recently.

The entrance

The restaurant is located within the premises of Srijan corporate park in Salt Lake, Sector 5.

The gorgeous ambiance

The place has a royal feel to it.

The awards they have won

For starters, we ordered chicken nawabi kabab and green salad. We settled on mojito for drinks.

Kabab, salad, and Mojito

We decided on mutton nihari, roomali roti, and chicken dum biriyani for the main course. The biryani was delicious.

Chicken dum biriyani

Except for the kabab, every item was spicy on the higher side. However, we didn’t find the mutton nihari up to the mark since we tasted better nihari elsewhere in the city.

We had malai firni for dessert and it was delectable.

The place has good customer service but needs to have a better temperature control system in place. We were literally shivering indoors for a long duration.

Dinner last night

Overall, it was a decent first experience, and I might return for the kababs.
