My birthday on 29th May began with a surprise cake cutting just as the clock struck 12. It was the last day of our vacation.
Mayfair Kalimpong resort is one of the most gorgeous properties I’ve stayed in. Watching Kanchenjunga from our room, spending hours inside the library, exploring their natural blooms and sitting at the deck with a cup of coffee turned out to be the small joys of this vacation I will always cherish.Â
Here’s the last part of our trip to Kalimpong, Lava, Lolaygaon and Deolo.
On day 3 of our vacation, we visited the Cactus nursery (Pine nursery) followed by a trip to the Durpin monastery and Durpin Dara view point. It was late afternoon by the time we finished lunch and it started drizzling when we started for Lolaygaon. The picturesque view during this road trip amidst the cloudy, foggy and rainy weather led to a surreal experience.
