Letter to my eighteen month old toddler

Dear Gogol,

As you turn 18 months today, I look back at the fond memories we created in the past 1.5 yrs. You know, I had an extremely difficult pregnancy with days spent in and out of hospital, continuous scary scans and continued morning sickness throughout. Two days  back I woke up to the sad news of George Michael passing away. With a 15 month old hyper active toddler my days now seem to pass like a movie in fast forward mode on a daily repeat mode. First blog post

This is the post excerpt.

Writing is something that I thought I would get back to once I had some spare time. Two masters degree followed by corporate jobs and job changes in the banking sector didn’t leave much time to pursue my passion. Two years back when my son was born, I decided to take a sabbatical. Having lost my mother in Nov 2011,just five months within my marriage, I never let my emotions cope up with this irreversible loss. Only when I became a mother, did I realize how difficult the journey of motherhood can be both emotionally and physically. To cope up with my emotions ranging from extreme sorrow to utmost happiness, I started penning them down through words and that’s when I realized how cathartic it was. In my blog, I would cover my journey through memories and nostalgic moments. There will be occasional movie reviews and issues that resonate with me. Welcome to my journey. Feel free to share your thoughts through comments.
