This weeks prompt for Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge is A Face in the Crowd. The idea is to create an image that represents being “a face in the crowd” through exploration of silhouettes, shadows, orientation and other ways to mask the subject.
Pic 1– This was taken at Shankarpur Beach in Bengal, India. A man facing the sea was on the stone pavement while another was walking towards it to get a closer view.

Pic 2 – This was taken at a fair in Berhampore in Bengal, India. A man holding each hand of both the kids was walking towards the stalls and amusement rides.
An alumnus of Presidency College (Kolkata), Delhi University, and XIME (Bangalore), Sonia Chatterjee holds two post-graduate degrees in Chemistry and Management and an MFA in creative writing from Writer's Village University. Her book ‘Diary, Deceit, and Death’ was shortlisted for the PVLF Awards 2024-25 in the Best Fiction Category.
Sonia lives in Kolkata with her doctor husband and nine-and-a-half-year-old son.
