An enthralling experience of watching Peppa Pig live in Kolkata

On 31st May, my son and I attended the Peppa Pig live at Science City auditorium, Kolkata.

The experience was enthralling as we saw the musical presentation of Peppa and her friends.

Capturing few moments

Since the summer vacation is on, we have been trying to get the child to enjoy some new experiences in the form of Science camps (more about it in another post) and live shows.

Fireflies

Needless to say, both of us loved the show.

And it’s a wrap

Birthday Celebrations 2025

Thank you for the wonderful wishes on my birthday yesterday (29th May).

From being the one arranging and organizing surprises to receiving a midnight birthday surprise from the son and the husband, my heart feels full today. Quite impressed with the kid ordering all the books saved in my cart without letting me know.

Here’s to another year of surprises, more books, trips, food adventures and quality time with friends and family.

Featured in The Statesman newspaper for being a part of the Kolkata Crime Writers Festival

The Statesman was the first English newspaper I read, or rather I was advised to read for a better command over English. To see my name and picture in the same paper for being a part of the Kolkata Crime Writers Festival at Storyteller Bookstore feels surreal. It’s equally wonderful to see both my books, ‘The Sanyasi who became a King’ and ‘Diary, Deceit and Death’ featured prominently in the article.

The article

Baba was so excited that he immediately went out to grab a physical copy of the newspaper. I only wish Ma was still around to share this joy.

Heartfelt gratitude to my literary agent Suhail and The Book Bakers for being a part of my journey as an author. I’m grateful to my publishers – Arup Bose from Srishti Publishers & Distributors and Vishal Soni from Vishwakarma Publications for their continued support in all my bookish endeavours.

Thank you Amrita Di and Mayura for having me.

Celebrating Mother’s Day 2025

My strongest cheerleader, best friend and biggest inspiration – eternally grateful to God for blessing us with a son like him. On this mother’s day, all I told him was that ‘no one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all, you are the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside.’ 🧿

At my book launch and the Kolkata Book Fair

He made it an equally special day for me with his handmade gifts and thoughtful gestures.

A wonderful gift!
