And it’s a wrap! While unavoidable circumstances led to my limited presence at the Kolkata Book Fair this year, I’m grateful to all my friends and readers who picked up the signed copies of my books from Sristhi Publishers Stall and Storyteller Stall.
It was wonderful meeting you Shouvik.
Thank you for the support Srishti Publishers & Distributors Vishwakarma Publications The Book Bakers Storyteller Bookstore
I hope to be back next year at the Book Fair with a new book.
Yesterday was my second year as an author at the International Kolkata Book Fair 2026. I visited the Sristhi Publishers Stall (E-94) where I signed copies of my non-fiction book ‘The Sanyasi who became a King’ and interacted with a few readers.
Moments of book signing at the Sristhi Publishers Stall E-94
The next stop was at the Storyteller Stall (E-95), where I signed copies of both my books – the detective thriller ‘Diary, Deceit and Death’ featuring Raya Ray and the true crime story ‘The Sanyasi who became a King’.
With Sunil of Storytelling Bookstore Stall E-95
Met and chatted with some of my fellow authors. It was heartwarming to see a few readers who have read all my books drop in to say hi and enquire about what I am writing next.
Holding both my books as I speak about them
Team Storyteller captured my journey as an author where I also spoke about both my books, about those who have been my pillars of support in this journey and my thoughts about Kolkata Book Fair this year. The reel is available to view on my Insta page.
With Mayura – the owner of Storyteller
Heartfelt gratitude to all my readers, my publishers – Sristhi Publishers and Vishwakarma Publishers, my literary agency – The Book Bakers, and Storyteller Bookstore team.
With Sumit of Sristhi Publishers
Signed copies of both the books are available at E-94 and E-95 (both stalls are near Gate no 2). So, go get your copy now and don’t forget to send me a picture.
With the kid who makes me want to write more books so that he can keep reading them while growing up
Tomorrow, 27th Jan, I’ll be at the International Kolkata Book Fair in the Sristhi Publishers Stall (E-94, near Gate no. 2), signing copies of my book ‘The Sanyasi who became a King’, meeting readers and interacting with book lovers from 6-7 p.m.
The fair was buzzing with people today. I went to sign copies of ‘Diary, Deceit Death’ in the Storyteller Stall and ‘The Sanyasi who became a King’ in the Sristhi Publishers Stall. A few friends had messaged that they would go tomorrow to pick up copies of my books, so I thought of keeping some signed for them. Besides it was the perfect time to meet Shouvik of Srishti Publishers & Distributors. Thank you Arup for the constant encouragement.
Signing copies at Storyteller Bookstore stall for the second time was a pleasure. Thank you Mayura for the support. A big thanks to Vishal Soni of Vishwakarma Publications and Uttam Patil for arranging this.
But it was a pleasant surprise when Basubhadra dropped in with her family to buy an author signed copy of ‘The Sanyasi who became a King’ for gifting. I know it’s her second copy of this book, so a tight hug to you, Rhea. After 33 years, Anupriya Banerjee Misra chose the book fair as the perfect venue for a reunion. Thank you for picking up both my books.
Suhail and team The Book Bakers , this wouldn’t have been possible without you. Thank you!
To those visiting the fair tomorrow, you can grab signed copies of my books at E-86 (The Sanyasi who became a King) and E-39 (Diary, Deceit and Death). Also, it’s the last day of the fair.
On 29/1/25, I spent an hour at the Srishti Publishers & Distributors stall E-86 and I was delighted to meet its CEO, Arup, after more than a year. My childhood friends made the event more special with their presence. It was a pleasure catching up with fellow authors Prasun, Sourabh Mukherjee Da and meeting Udayaditya Da for the first time. We were more than happy to sign books for each other though I must mention that the first signed copy was bought by my son.
My next destination was The Storyteller stall E-39. Anwesh, who I had met during the previous event at The Storyteller bookstore had come to get an author-signed copy of ‘The Sanyasi who became a King’. Signed some copies of this book and ‘Diary, Deceit and Death’. Mayura, the owner of The Storyteller, made the experience so warm and welcoming. Thank you Vishal Sir and Uttam Dada of Vishwakarma Publications for arranging this.
Kolkata Book Fair 2025
29th Jan 2025 at the Kolkata Book Fair is now etched in memory for life.
Thank you Sristhi Publishers and Vishwakarma Publications for the opportunity. Thank you The Book Bakersl for turning my dreams into reality.
Both my books are available at the Kolkata Book Fair until 9th Feb. ‘You can get The Sanyasi who became a King’ in E-86 (Sristhi Stall) and ‘Diary, Deceit and Death’ in E-39 (The Storyteller Stall)
From the little girl who would beg her Baba to buy one more book from the Berhampore Book Fair and promise her Ma that she would touch them only after her second term school exams get over to becoming the author of the book displayed on the banner of her publisher’s stall, it’s a journey I will cherish forever. As I see ‘The Sanyasi who became a King’ shining bright on the banner and inside the stall, I can only thank God and my Ma up there for giving me the courage to take the plunge in 2017.

I dedicate this moment to Tuneer, Tanmoy and Baba, my three pillars of strength.
Thank you Arup for sharing these pics. It’s been a joyride working with team Srishti Publisher. And none of this would’ve been possible without the magical touch of Suhail.
I’ll be at the Sristhi Stall E-86 in the Kolkata Book Fair today from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm to meet my readers and sign copies of ‘The Sanyasi who became a King’. If you are around, drop in to say Hi.
Thank you Parna and Arijit for making the Pune Book Festival extra special for me. Not only did you give me a surprise by visiting the Vishwakarma stall on a Saturday afternoon and video calling me to show Diary, Deceit, and Death on the banner but you also ensured to get a picture of getting the book from the CEO of Vishwakarma Publications, Vishal Soni.
